Issued for the first time on CD on Notsensibles’ own label, this is the original edition of the album, recorded during the night (cheaper) at Rochdale’s Cargo Studios.
This captures the band in their freshest, rawest naivety. The tracks are interspersed with skits coming directly from their schoolboy antics (the most infamous being ‘The Big Willy’). This version is the favourite of the fans and now very scarce on vinyl.
The album was subsequently re-mixed and two different tracks were recorded. The thin red paper sleeve was replaced with Boff Whalley’s iconic artwork, featuring thousands of tiny ink drawn characters.
